Hello All,

I am curating a screening at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis in conjunction with Red 76's Surplus Seminar.
Details below and at http://calendar.walkerart.org/event.wac?id=5764

Would love to see my mid-west friends at the screening.

As part of Red76’s Surplus Seminar, Jeremy Rossen of Portland, Oregon's
Cinema Project present films that, in form or content, relate to notions
of surplus and counterculture. The program includes:

A Lecture by Hollis Frampton (1967, lecture / cassette tape, 30 min. Read by filmmaker David Gatten)

Early Abstractions by Harry Smith (1946-1957, 16mm, color, silent, 23 min.)

In the Street by Helen Levitt (1952, 16mm, b&w, sound, 15 min.)

My Name is Oona by Gunvor Nelson (1969, 16mm. b&w, sound, 10 min. )

Take the 5:10 to Dreamland by Bruce Conner (1977, 16mm, color, sound, 5 min.)

Lapis by James Whitney (1966, 16mm color, sound, 10 min.)
