For a festival to solicit submissions, charge entry fees, and not
send out some kind of notification, acceptance or rejection, is
really unprofessional. Not to mention just bad manners and bad
business in the long run.
We send notifications of receipt (sometimes it takes a while...),
then acceptance or rejection messages to everyone. We also mail
program guides and posters to everyone in the festival, and anyone
else who asks. We're a pretty small festival too.
That being said, there are always cases where illegible handwriting,
bounced emails or spam filters can make it difficult and time
consuming to track people down.
If anyone on Frameworks hasn't heard back from Antimatter about a
submission, please contact me. Notifications went out over a month
ago, and I think we've had confirmations from everyone selected, but
mistakes do happen.
Cheers,
Todd Eacrett
