I've used the RFS, the focusfilm, and molemann (sp?) loopers for exhibition install (schedule of 8 hours day / 7 days a week), here is my impression of each:

RFS - use this one if your show is more 500'; tension is tricky and it requires constant checking in to make sure working properly, which you should do anyway, but with this one you're always wondering if the looper's all right;

molemann - i like it very much, easy to use, handcrafted, the molemann's are very nice & friendly;

focusfilm - beauty looper, practical & super easy to use, you can leave them alone for a week if you're a sadist and everything will be fine with the mechanism. but you shouldn't leave them alone, you should check in on them every day and clean them regularly, because that way, they'll know you love them.

(side note: my experience is in conjunction with iterations of EIKI projectors - I haven't used them with other projectors).

 thanks,
R. TOOLE

Hello, Esperanza.  I am in Mexico, so if you don't find anyone who can make a looper in Europe, let me know.  I can make one for you.  We can figure out a good deal.

Cheers

Subject: [Frameworks] LOOPER in Europe

Dear friends,
I know this question has been raised before here, but the answer was addressed in a European context which is not ideal for me at this moment.
I am looking to find some loopers for 16mm Eiki projectors. I have checked some UK specialised stores through their websites, but cant seem to find any. I want to buy them, at least 2.
Also, if you know where to find wide angle lenses for the same projector type, I would appreciate your advice.
All preferably in Europe in order to make shipping cheaper.
Many thanks

Esperanza Collado
