My favorites are all found footage, so they're probably not what you're looking for. But if that might fit the bill, Tony Gault's "Not Too Much Remember" has a great slo-mo car crash with a whole family in the mix. If crash tests are more your speed, then Gustav Deutsch's Film Ist. (1-6) would be my pick. Can't think of any films though where an experimental filmmaker actually crashed a car him/herself, although there must be some.
