It would be a nice way to share work we all make.

Does setting up a g-mail acount allow you to search threads that started before you started the account? Can you import threads older than 5 years ago that are available in archive digests?

I can't speak for Matt's idea but I'm not proposing that Frameworks exist only on Facebook. Just that there could be a Frameworks group page that informs people that the list exists and then people can 'like' or become 'friends' of Frameworks. Yes its all rather silly but that's just what people do these days. There is a huge audience out there that thinks that if it doesn't exist on Facebook then it just doesn't matter.

I like the simplicity of this list. If you wish to search for a topic or thread in this list just set up a gmail account and search for anything using their seach engine...The minute this is taken to social networking sites like Facebook it is limited to facebook. To me, an email thread seems more open source...

While not as hip as Facebook. A regular old message board would be easier to follow threads and be a more search-able database for people asking questions or doing research.

But while we can debate the merits of various types of electronic communication even a simple Facebook page would annouce that "Frameworks is here and this is what we're about". It would reach a wider audience that it currently has.

Totally agree. Would be easier to digest the threads.

Is Frameworks on Facebook? I think we should be.
