i'm also interested in this and cant find one. i've been using a rigged system
at lift (lift.on.ca) that incorporates an interchangeable 8mm/super8 gate and
aerial projects that image onto a compound on a 35 oxberry animation stand for
re-photography. everything is computer controlled and programmable, if you want
to do some sequencing. anyway, that's an option if you are desperate. i've
been looking for a cheap option to get a super 8 gate for an oxberry 1700
printer that lift also has but i havent found one yet. i know of a guy that
makes and modifies oxberry gates for film archives. if there are enough people
that want to buy one then maybe he can make a custom mold from an existing one
and make a few for people like us. main film and concordia in montreal now have
35 ox printers and so does cineworks in vancouver, plus lift in toronto but no
of them have the super 8 gate. there might be enough interest to pay this guy
to make a mold and fabricate a bunch of gates. i dunno. i could be wrong but i
havent found any option and i've been looking for a few years or so now...
let me know what you find. if you dont mind chris, i am interested to know your
location and whom the printer belongs to and where did you get it from? thnx
andrew

Wondering if anyone here on the list knows where to find a super 8 gate for an
Oxberry optical printer?
Apparently you can still get one from Oxberry, but they're a little pricey at
5K.
