Rose Lowder has written a thesis on experimental film as a tool to research
visual perception (I do not have the exact title, I am sorry). I hear it is
several hundred pages long and includes hand-drawn diagrams. Unfortunately
it is not yet published, and it is written in French. I would love to read
it. Maybe someday she will publish it.
