Whoa! Keep in mind that at some point your exposures would fall below the straight-line portion of the characteristic curve (about 3-4 stops below for neg, 2-3 stops below for reversal). Once you're into the toe with each of your exposures, you'd want less reduction. But really, in my experience, once you get past about 4 or 5 exposures your variables in terms the tonal content of each pass and exposure factors are too great to rely on linear math...that's when you're better off using intuition and testing.
