The No Nothing Cinema was born July 4th 1982, the venue was created by a local group called the "emergency filmmakers" to showcase experimental cinema. In 1997 they were forced to re-locate into San Francisco's SOMA district and with a new building came a new name the NEW NOTHING CINEMA. The space continues on with the original ideal - shows consisting of personal film/video work that are FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. No money has ever been exchanged here.
