speaking from a third
world/devaluated/exploited/unknown country such as
Argentina, entry fees decide to which festivals you
don´t send your experimental film. you simply can´t
pay those rates.
in my case, a made short found footage film in 35mm
that cost me zero (due to my money driven position of
no prints but the original) and, in order to show it
on high regarded festivals around the world, i will
have to pay between 15 and 40 dollars. an amount that,
due to the devaluation of argentinian currency i wrote
above, have to be multiplied by 3: $45 - $120.
i-n-s-a-n-e.
your unscreened-unpremiered argentinian pal,
Pablo Marín.
