The PARIS STRIP FILM FESTIVAL is proud to announce its first venue from
may 31st til june 4th, at La Ménagerie de Verre (12/14 rue Léchevin
75011 Paris) and cinéma Filmothèque-Quartier Latin (9 rue Champollion
75005 Paris). This year's program includes a great selection of
essentials movies for the construction of the "underground" such as
films by Rudy Burckhardt, Maya Deren, Robert Smithson, Samuel Beckett or
Charles Atlas; and also an amazing selection of contemporary movies from
Marie Losier, Ben Russel, Henry Hills... The festival is also very proud
to premiere Nemo Librizzi's "Lay Down Old Man", outstanding documentary
about the Crips and the Bloods, and Pierre Reimer's "Modell", for a
music by Mark André, this film is an absolute revolution in the artist's

Bring the family for summer fun at the First Annual Staten Island Film
Festival, June 1-4, 2006. Staten Island's most historic and magnificent
venues will host 113 feature films, gala screening receptions, parties
and award ceremonies. Closing bash travels around Manhattan aboard the
Staten Island Ferry with fireworks, food, and festivities. Special film
screenings involve the multi-cultural community. General admission for

Dominic Angerame In Person As a filmmaker and cinephile, Dominic
Angerame has been behind both the scenes and the lens. Tonight
Cinematheque celebrates his twenty-five years at the helm of Canyon
Cinema, our sister organization and the world-renowned distributor of
experimental film, with an overview sampling of work from early urban
sketches to his current project. Threads of eros, violence and
melancholy weave through the cityscape in the following films:
Demonstration (1968-1974), The Mystery of Life (as Discovered in Los
Angeles) (1982), Freedom's Skyway (1980), A Ticket Home (1982),
Premonition (1995), Anaconda Targets (2004), In the Course of Human
Events (1997), Consume (2003), and Untitled (work-in-progress).
