Animated Bike-in Movies

Time, when the sun goes down.
Location a vacant lot (TBA) Vancouver, BC, Canada.
Calling all animators working in experimental, documentary and narrative
forms. This August Hungry Ghost will be presenting an “Animated Bike-In
Screening”. We are looking for animated shorts from around the region (BC,
Alberta, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana) and beyond. The program will be
approximately two hours and will screen films finished on 8mm, Super 8,
16mm, miniDV, and DVD, with or without sound. We are open to all types of
works, however our primary focus is on the loose and ambiguous categories of
experimental film/experimental documentary work.
The screening will be by donation and we are unable to pay artist fees at
this time. Hopefully we will be able to contribute towards postage costs for
film prints from outside the local area. In case of rain an indoor venue
will be secured in advance. Arrangements for live sound accompaniment will
also be provided. Deadline for submissions is July 15th.
