Just alerting any members of the Frameworks community who might be in London
on the 28th July that, as part of a two week long "Summer School", the
Institute of Contemporary Arts and the London Consortium are running a day
of activities related to artists' film and video. Booking information is at
http://www.londonconsortium.com/events/icasummerschool.htm or at
http://www.ica.org.uk/index.cfm?articleid=15042. The blurb for the 28th
July is as follows:

Friday 28th July
*'Artists' Film and Video'*
The moving image has long been one of the most fertile areas of
experimentation for artists, and today's activities are devoted to
considering avant-garde film culture in London. The day begins with a
walking tour, led by William Fowler, Curator of Artists' Moving Image at the
British Film Institute. The tour will take us around sites in the Oxford
Street/Tottenham Court Road area where alternative film culture flourished
in the 1960s. The group will then visit no.w.here lab in West Hampstead, a
centre for artists' film and video production, where we will be given a
behind-the-scenes insight into how such films are made. The day will be
interspersed with many screenings of classic and rare experimental films!

(I'm helping to organise this event, so I'm not a completely impartial
observer)
