Actually tho, this raises some interesting questions,
while I can't see the wizard of oz as a big influence
on Pleasure Dome, I'm not sure what might be?
Theres something a bit sunset boulevard about it all.
(Tho Puce Moment notably precedes that film)
I wonder about films like Samson and Delilah and
Cleopatra by Cecil B. DeMille?
Can anyone else offer any suggestions? I assume
Kenneth Anger has never talked about this subject
himself?
As such an influential filmaker you tend to think
about the films that have been influenced by his work
not the other way round.
It's an interesting question.
love
