Maybe someone can help me with a kind of Witchie question.
Years ago I saw a Japanese "ghost story" film. It was B&W and, like
in Onibaba, included two women (old & young) who ambush soldiers. But
in this film I am trying to find the name of, these women were
ghosts. About the only other concrete memory I have is that the house
the women live in was in a forest (bamboo?) and, if I remember
correctly, fog often hides it. The women meet the men on the road and
offer rest at their house. The story maybe involved cats? (ala Cat
People storyline)
I'm guessing the film is from between '66 and '78. And I am certain
it was a Japanese film.
Any guesses? It may have even had "Ghost Story" in the title.
