Re: DVD Labels

I use an Epson R800 (similar to the R200 mentioned earlier) and it works
great, though one should give the ink time to dry which makes it annoying if
you are making more than a few at a time. I've had DVDs with perfectly
applied stick-on labels (both my own and from others) start failing to play
and on a couple of occasions screw up DVD players. If I get something with a
label on it now I immediately back it up (using an old DVD drive that is no
longer essential) and only play the copy so as not to destroy my player or
the drive in my macbookpro. The R200's are cheap last I checked, and if
you're just printing black-text info for your own use the ink will be cheap
too. Labels aren't worth the trouble and risk. If it's between a printed
sticky-label and a sharpie, I'd go with the sharpie (or better yet one of
those archival DVD pens - I think Staedler makes them? Can't remember.)
