I'm doing some research into "films" that exist only as sets of instructions
or declarations (nothing to actually watch) that belong to the same
history/tradition/whatever you want to call it as conceptual art and the new
music (such as La Monte Young's instruction pieces). I know of a number of
things that border on this type of work, but still have a physical
component.
I have a copy of "This Book is a Movie" from the 70s
Things like "Total Static Takeover" (Scott Arford ) are also of interest.
