Hey Michael,
Do you know about Louise Lawler's project, "A Movie Without the Picture," presented at the Aero Theatre in Santa Monica in 1979? I think she didn't screen "The Misfits."
Also, there's the Robert Smithson drawing "Toward the Development of a Cinema Cavern," from 1971.
