If you shoot 16mm film and record synch sound in a digital audio
format and intend to edit it all on video, you need to record the
audio at 48.048 kHz, which not all digital recorders do (mine
doesn't). I believe (but am not positive) that this applies to 16mm
that will end on film but is transferred to video for editing
purposes.
Don't know the specifics of the situations you're describing, but I
thought I'd mention it because I know people that have been burned by
this pulldown conversion.
