Does anyone have any idea where I could quickly get my hands on a
16mm print of "Feed the Kitty," the Chuck Jones animated short
featuring the bulldog (Marc Anthony) and the kitten (Pussyfoot)? I
had a colleague who was sure he had an IB print of either that or
another one of the Jones bulldog shorts, but he hasn't been able to
find it & I need it for a screening in just over two weeks. For what
it's worth, I've already tried Em Gee, and Murray doesn't seem to
have it. Any leads would be GREATLY appreciated.
And if you're curious, the film is for a program on the first night
of this year's FLEX (the Florida Experimental Film/Video Festival)
taking place Jan. 25-27. It's part of a show curated by Jim Trainor
who will be in Gainesville to show us his work and a program of his
influences. The other invited guest is Leighton Pierce who will also
be doing two shows, and we'll also have memorial screenings for both
Helen Hill and Diane Bonder, plus a cameraless filmmaking workshop in
Helen's memory as well. If you're in the area (North Central
Florida), I hope you'll swing by. For more info, see
<www.flexfest.org>.
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide with tracking down the
Jones print.
Roger
