For starters, try a slow-blow fuse. Sometimes a machine that hasn't been run
for a long while will blow out fuses until the old capacitors charge up.
Get a pack of them of the same rating as the original. Jiggle around the
circuit board for any loose connections or bad solder joints, or obvious shorts,
and see what happens. Often this problem sorts itself out.
