thanks mark for your detailed report on owen land's screening. i've
only seen a few scenes of DIALOGUES and this is about as much as i
know for now ...

owen has spoken to me about DIALOGUES being the prequel of
UNDESIRABLES (WORK IN PROGRESS) - it is a completely different work.
DIALOGUES was intended to be 3 hours long, but i understand the
current running time is 140 minutes. it has biographical elements and
many references to avant-garde and commercial films, and was made in
HD video. it will be the main element of his upcoming exhibition at
kunsthalle bern.

UNDESIRABLES remains unfinished. about 40 minutes of footage were shot
on 16mm circa 1998-99 but all that survives is the 12 minute vhs edit
that has been shown around a little in recent years. owen has recently
added UNDESIRABLES (CONCLUSION), a parody of WAVELENGTH shot on video,
that should be shown at the end of this fragment.
