sure in a way
i admitted that i agreed to a degree with fred
but your missing the incremental/specific aspects of the scenerio
she is not foremost a filmmaker
she is foremost a painter
does her house building maker her a house builder?
as in multiple - no
does she make a better house than other house builders
or architects - no
can we say she is like frank loyd wright
f' no
but not talking about the shortcomings of frank isn't reality based

my specific problem with what fred posted
was i thought that he had a bias
one that i find in the underground film community
(even against 'hollywood' films/filmmakers)
i could be wrong
i will be happy to admit being wrong if i was
i think dialogue is healthy about such problems
for one thing i now know that fred voiced his negative opinion
in regard to some brakhage work
which i find really positive and great
and it is really great to know that
would i have known that without this dialogue
probably not
