Subject: The 16mm Elmo Xenon Projector Question.
To: email suppressed
Frameworkers,
Here's another tech esoterica question for the collective you:
I just bought a tabletop 16mm Elmo Xenon projector off a fellow in Toronto, brought it out for a show this past weekend. Alll was well (really well! tabletop xenon = magic!) for the first 40:00 or so, but midway through the last film the projector started SLOWING DOWN, as if it wasn't getting enough electricity all of a sudden. It was plugged into a circuit that didn't have much other electrical demand on it, and while I have yet to do tests to see how it'll fare in the future, I'm wondering if any of y'all have experienced this sort of thing. The projector is old (hadn't been used in a decade, he said) but in good condition. Any thoughts?
Much Obliged.
Ben Russell
