The ease of operation may make the Elmo CL a best bet for classroom use.
It's easy to operate and relatively foolproof to load.
We offer rebuilt units in your price range on our website. We are an Elmo
dealer.
The other projectors mentioned are great units too as long as they are
serviced and checked units, but for your purposes I think you'll be more
than satisfied with a rebuilt Elmo CL.

Subject: Seeking advice on ELMO 16-CL projector
Hey all,
My program is looking to purchase a 16mm projector for classroom use. It
will be permanently installed in a black box/production studio teaching
space, with a fairly short throw to the screen.
One of the projectors we're looking at is the ELMO 16-CL, which I've never
used before, so any feedback/comments about this model, or other projector
suggestions for the context outlined above, would be greatly appreciated.
We've allocated approximately $500 towards the purchase.
