well, I cannot agree with you Adam, for a lot of reasons too complex to go into here..
but rather than simply critique your self-fulfilling prophecy, i will contribute this tip:
tho the Jost "Bell Diamond' suggestion is brilliant, this one might be closer to the 'short' form you are looking for:
marc moscato (Portland) made a 12-15? min. piece on alexander berkman,
emma goldman lover and the legendary hobo/wobbly doctor, so there you've got the right historical time period, the right general region, and the rad labor issues. Surely many of our NW comrades could lead you to other relevant shorts, maybe from Idaho even (or could be No. Dakota or Canada)..maybe even on Native American perspectives..

Hey Adam,

You might want to look into "High Plains Winter" by Cindy Stillwell.

Hi Adam,

My 1984 film COALFIELDS is set in West Virginia not Montana but it is an experimental film about mining and labor and the persecution of Fred Carter, a black lung activist. It runs 39 min, color, 16mm with poetry by Kimiko Hahn and music by Earl Howard. Available from Film-makers' Coop, Canyon Cinema or directly from me.

Best,

Bill

Hi,

I'm screening Travis Wilkerson's AN INJURY TO ONE on August 1, but it is only 53 minutes. Anyone know of any short films about/shot in Montana that could go with it, or have any in your collections? Early promo films and the like would be good. But please give a heads up with any suggestion as to where I might find it.

Best regards,

Adam
