I don't know if you've tracked down any of his VHS work, but try this link if you are interested.

Here is a great interview:http://www.believermag.com/issues/200412/?read=interview_pettibon
This is a wonderful idea for an exhibition / screening series. I was particularly glad to see "Another State of Mind" and the magical broken-down school bus mentioned. Social Distortion and Youth Brigade at the Dischord House in DC is fantastic. Minor Threat plays a show in which the P.A. system / Mic dies. The show goes on with the entire crowd singing to just the instrumentals. An amazing portrait of the scene in the 80's when it still meant something.
Wish I could be there for this.
Thanks for giving it some much needed light.

You may already be familiar with these, but as a fan of the music and era I thought I would throw them out there...
For concert/gig footage, you might want to look at "We Jam Econo: The Story of the Minutemen" as a potential source. It has some great live footage of the Minutemen, who as you most likely know used several Pettibon pieces in their album art. It was released by Plexifilm. There might even be some brief discussion of Pettibon in there.
For text, I would also recommend the book "Our Band Could be Your Life" by Michael Azerrad. It features almost all of the bands you mentioned. It also discusses Pettibon and his relationship (brother) to Greg Ginn of Black Flag and the SST label.
Wish I could see the screenings

I will be curating a number of gallery screenings for the fall surrounding the early art works of Raymond Pettibon from 1978-1986. For those that do not know Pettitbon, here is a brief:
Raymond Pettibon is known for his comic-like drawings with disturbing, ironic or ambiguous text, Pettibon's subject matter is sometimes violent and antiauthoritarian. From the late 1970s through the mid-1980s, he was closely associated with the punk rock band Black Flag and the record label SST Records, both founded by his older brother Greg Ginn. Beginning in the mid 1980s, he became a well-known figure in the contemporary art scene.
Pettibon works primarily with ink on paper and many of his early drawings are black and white, although he sometimes introduces color by using pencil, watercolor, collage, gouache or acrylic paint. Pettibon’s drawings encompass the spectrum of American culture from the deviances of marginal youth-culture to art, literature, sports, religion, politics, and sexuality. Pettibon’s works on paper uniquely combine the drawn image and text, both borrowed passages from literature and text written by Pettibon himself.Besides his works on paper, Pettibon has also made animations from his drawings, live action films from his own scripts, unique artist’s books, fanzines, prints, and large permanent wall drawings that often include an arrangement of his own works on paper almost creating an installation of collage.In-depth, and regarding the 1978-1986 California Punk/Hardcore era, here is what I'm looking for: a) Concert + Gig Footage: (EXAMPLES: Sin 34, Black Flag, Minutemen, The Germs, Dead Kennedy's, Middle Class, Decedents, etc.)b) Short/Feature Films + Filmmakersc) Articles + Written Wordsd) Current DistributorsThe media should be consistent with the early California Punk/Hardcore Scene. You can see from the list below, it's a mix of genres and possibilities. Some are difficult to get a hold of due to being out of print or having no distribution. The official exhibition is Raymond Pettibon: The Punk Years 1978-1986 and it will be November 13, 2010-January 2, 2011.
This is what I've researched:

The Decline of Western Civilization (1981) - Penelope Spheeris (Doc/RT100m)
