hi john!
i did try. i tried YYZ and although they were quite interested in seeing the program, the program committee there decided to no longer do any more screenings. and I also tried the pleasure dome. the program committee there was divided in respect to liking the program. if you can find me a venue that would pay for a curatorial fee and artist fees by all means. i would greatly appreciate it. i received funding here for myself and an artist, angela ferreira, to travel there, food etc...and i tell you its almost nothing. it certainly doesnt pay me anything which i am not normally concerned but poverty can be overwhelming. anyhow the most important thing for me is that the program will be shown AND angela ferreira will be able to travel there. she has worked so hard as an artist here in portugal....being a woman and the fact that she deals with portuguese colonialism. anyhow blah blah.....sorry for the long email.
